"This experience will change your life AND the lives of others." Michael Potter (Eye Photography)

A charity ride for SOS-Children's Villages but slightly less hectic than our other motorbike trips. Nine days exploring southern Morocco and as the accommodation is very comfortable and in picturesque settings we make the most of it and have two full rest days. One surrounded by nature in the countryside in the foothills of The Atlas. One in the dunes in a luxury nomad desert camp where you can lie in and spend the day lunching, relaxing and sightseeing. We aim to thrill you and send you back from your holiday relaxed.

One of the best road sections anywhere for a motorcycle is the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass. The only way over the Atlas mountains and pretty much as high as you can get it's a dramatic start to the trip. You'll really get to know your bike as there are no straight bits and on top of an amazing road there is a new sight to amaze you around every corner. Not far out of Marrakech but suddenly surrounded by mud villages, mountain farmers and a solitude.

Snaking over the top and on to Ouarzazate the terrain becomes more barren as we get away from The Atlas and nearer The Sahara. Ouarzazate is the crossroads for southern Morocco, a stop off on the silk and spice trade routes of days gone by and also our very comfortable resting place in our first Riad of the trip.

A mesmerizing ride to the Sahara next. Passing south of the Jbel Sahro mountain range you are right on the edge of civilisation. Nothing further south until you reach Timbuktu! You’ll feel like you're crossing the moon. No people, no noise. At the end of the road our experienced guides lead us to our stunning location for the night, right on the edge of desert, surrounded by huge 700-foot tall sand dunes, an eerie silence and a sea of pinpoints in the blackness from the stars above.

After a well earned lie in fire up your camel for the dune crossing out to our desert camp. Luxury in the Sahara. The sunset and sunrise are second to none in the desert. Add an evening by the campfire and some of Morocco's finest cuisine in tents made for Kings. The more time you spend in this special place the more life starts to take on a different perspective. The world slows down around you, the chatter of everyday life gently fades and your thoughts become your own and everything seems to make a lot more sense.

Empty the sand out of your boots, we’re heading West again, away from the desert. We ride into jaw-dropping Todra Gorge, a mere crack in the hundreds of miles of rock-face. Our Hotel is wonderful. High above the river in the beautiful Dades valley lush green palms line the waters edge contrasting with the ancient mud villages and the scorched red dusty hills. Also known as the valley of roses its a flower lined route we follow as we slowly see the mighty Atlas come back into view.

On the way back up we get to stay next to the mud city where Jesus of Nazareth was filmed. Ait Benhaddou is literally made from mud and straw. Stunning. Our accommodation, slightly more modern, offers the opportunity to experience a Hammam, a traditional Moroccan sauna/exfoliating scrub/ massage. everyone should try this once.

Just before we cross the Atlas again enjoy the most beautiful Kasbah in Africa. Telouet. Hidden in a valley off the main route north its a an incredible mix of history and architecture spanning 3 centuries. Then back into the curves and North

After a good days ride to Ourigane, just south of Marrakech, we spend two days in a different landscape again. The gentle slopes that make up the foothills of the Atlas Mountains are surrounded by nature, with forests and wildlife everywhere. Luxury chalets and a restaurant that people travel a long way to experience make it hard to leave. Explore the valley and see the jaw dropping Tizi n Test Pass where the Atlas mountains fall away to sea level with some very steep edges or rest your bike and enjoy walking through the Ourigane/ Asni foothills.

Finally a last blast back to Marrakech. On the way we visit the SOS Children's Village and the wonderful orphans we are helping. It’s a real success here as the local children compete to get a place in the SOS school.

Not just an adventure of a lifetime but also a rare opportunity to really make a difference to the future of some of the least fortunate children in the world. A trip you will enjoy and remember for the rest of your life. 50% of the profit will go directly to helping these under-privileged orphans.
