SOS-Mexico The Copper Canyon National Park offers the most rugged riding terrain we have found anywhere to date. 4 times bigger than the Grand Canyon and almost totally deserted, the only other things you are likely to encounter here are the many hundreds of species of wild birds, deer, and the occasional bear!!
Experience 12 days dirt riding in this rare unspoiled part of the world, crossing rivers and exploring logging trails. Catch your heart in your mouth on the 5000 foot drop into the Canyon itself. A trail a little over 10 miles long, hugging the cliff face all the way down. Quite spectacular!

Let the calmness take hold of you whilst adventure biking through hundreds of mountains paths, riverside tracks and logging trails through northern Mexico. Between our start point and the pacific Ocean lies a vast uncharted region of rugged terrain, sprawling rivers and desert valleys. Even the most globally-travelled, dual-sport/dirt rider wont have seen an area like this before. There are no roads, no cars and only people wanting adventure cross it. The deep gorges were formed 30 million years ago and man has yet to tame them.

Your first reward for tackling dramatic ride down into the Canyon is Batopilas. Enjoy the isolation of this town cut off from the world. Its one of many communities that welcome you in with big soft beds, wonderful food and theres always someone who somehow finds cold beer and good wine. We’re motorcycling through a zone where normal traffic cannot reach but creature comforts are stored up waiting for you at the end of each day.

Depending on the height of the rivers we will push out further past abandoned monasteries, through eery forests and further into the canyon. The rivers and streams at the bottom continually deepen this dramatic natural phenomenon.

After three days working through the Batopilas side we will loop back to tackle the trail from Creel right the way across to the Pacific and back. Rarely done and then only with the help of GPS navigation. This really is a wilderness adventure!

Quite a challenge and really only for riders with a reasonable level of off road experience, this ride is up there with the most rewarding adventures currently on offer to the general public. Being slightly harder than the other SOS-Adventures, some physical training before-hand is advised.

50% of the profit from the trip will go directly to helping both the orphans of SOS Children’s Villages, the worlds largest children’s orphan charity and also the secretive Tamahumara Indians. The Tamahumara have inhabited this remote area for centuries. Known for their long distance running abilities and traditional lifestyle they live a separate existence away from the modern world. As well as helping SOS Children's Villages the money raised on this trip will help to tackle the problems caused by the current ten year drought that has left these people starving. This is quite literally a chance to change your life and the lives of others.
